The “Malzflüsterer” is an external temperature control for the “Rührteufel“. The temperature is measured by a thermocouple immersed in the mash and passed on to the controller (malt whisperer). An integrated SSR (Solid State Relay) switches the heating of the mashing pan on or off as required, thus reaching the preselected temperature and then keeping it constant.
